Electric Shower Conversion

Why would you do that ?

  • Bar showers are far more reliable
  • 3 - 4 times more water flow
  • Very easy to replace or repair when worn
  • Far superior stabilised pressure
  • No loss of flow in winter months
  • No scolding or freezing water when another tap is opened.
  • Combi boiler required or a pressurised hot water cylinder
  • A vented hot water cylinder with a cold water tank above will require a pump.

This Triton Benito replaced an old electric shower.

In this instance there was a cupboard behind the shower wall which made this conversion straightforward.

The old electric shower was removed and a cover panel was fitted over the holes.

On reflection I could have fitted a shower caddy to that panel to make it look more purposeful.

Pipe connections were taken from under the bath, into the cupboard and then re-emerge at the back of the bar shower.

Our customer was delighted with the difference in higher water pressure also pleased with how we dealt with the holes left after the electric shower was removed.

Total for this job including the new bar shower and panel with new pipework, isolation valves came in at £530

A recent shower conversion undertaken in Wolverhampton. We removed the old electric shower and isolated the electrical supply. We extended the cold water supply from the old shower and incorporated a new hot water supply from under the bath.

We go on to fit a large opal acrylic panel to cover over previous shower fixing holes and pipe and cable entry. There are various ways we can add hot and cold pipes to bar showers dependant on the situation.

This conversion including the panel, Triton Benito rain shower - New pipework & 5 year warranty came in at £1299
