The job took a day and a bit to complete, We installed a new Single impeller universal hot water pump and a new Triton bar shower with rain kit. Our sparky installed a power point for the pump which was included in the cost. The total cost for this job came in at £1599

Power Shower full installation undertaken today in Solihull - The job took around 4 hours to complete.
 

We installed two water pipes - One from the cold water storage tank in the loft and the second from the hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard.

Our sparky laid on a new electrical supply for the shower.

The total cost for this installation came in at £1568 which included a new Mira Event Thermostatically Controlled Power Shower. Full bore isolation valves. Old mixer shower capped off. New electrical connection via an isolation switch. 12 months warranty on everything.

5 Year Warranty

So our customer was never happy with the poor performance of their bar shower - Also the bath tap shower offered nothing but a dribble when raising the shower head above head height.

So we adapted the pipework - Installed a new hot water draw off boss direct from the cylinder to accommodate all the hot water taps also the bar mixer shower and bath tap shower set.

Note the sound deadening mat below the pump. Also 22mm full bore pipework up into loft with additional lever valves for fast isolation for any future pump maintenance. Our sparky made a new electrical connection.

Note we used full bore lever valves for immediate water shut off allowing for easy maintenance of the pump - our 22mm pipework continued into the loft. Our 22mm hot water draw off boss fitted direct to the cylinder - No chance of air getting inside that pump !
 

Look what I did today...

YES only we take the trouble to tidy up that ridiculous pipe work - This is the difference between a d.i.y. and professional installation. So I sweated off the horizontal pipe with the blow torch and soldered a new vertical pipe and connected to the inlet on the shower unit. No extra charge. Ask any other fitter to do this - Expect a sharp intake of breath response !

I replaced this Triton Enrich with a new Mira Sport Max 9Kw - Customer was very pleased - See their written 5 star review !

An old Triton shower was siliconed to the wall  No tiles behind !!

The old shower was fitted tight up into the corner so I adjust the pipe and extend the cable in order to bring the shower out from the corner.

I fitted a new 10mm thick conversion/ repair panel (£149 Extra charge)

Then supplied & fitted a brand new Mira Advance Thermostatically controlled electric shower fitted - Super reliable, Super safe with 48 degree Celsius maximum temperature setting - NO Scolding ! The preferred choice for safe family showers. Replaces most Triton brand showers. Supply and fitting from £530 - Repair panels are extra charge

So this was a re-connection shower... the council had removed the previous shower and the wiring from the previous shower to the ceiling pull cord. They also disconnected the cable at the fuse board also removed the water supply. The council always remove showers that have no electrical test certificate and the Building Control department at the council has no knowledge of the installation. We installed a new shower, water supply and new cable from the ceiling pull cord to shower unit. Our sparky performs an electrical test on the shower circuit and provides a test certificate for council approval.

We replaced a cracked tray and cubicle with a new premium 8mm glass enclosure and quality pearlstone tray + premium shower wall panels. The total amount for this job came in at £3900

We constructed this very heavy duty shower base for a 1700 x 800 shower tray, As you can see we are not messing about here... We are using pressure treated 4 x 2" timber topped off with 18mm ply to ensure we don't get a cracked tray ! The size of the tray suggests that this cubicle is replacing a full size bath.

So we fit the tray base, snug fit all round - waste cut - sand and cement mixed and applied according to tray manufacturers instructions.

We removed a leaky old cubicle and tray, rotten flooring and replaced with new porcelain floor tiles and a Mira Leap shower cubicle and tray. This job came in at £5900
 

Fitted in Birmingham today.

Our customer just moved into a council property, needless to say moving costs and buying furnishings soon knock the stuffing out of any savings.

Fear not, whilst I removed the bath panel and made a new water connection for this entry level 8.5kw Triton Hawaii our electrician was busy installing the new electrical supply dropping down from the ceiling inside the round conduit.

Note that I fitted a new chrome pipe with an isolation valve, clipped securely to the wall.

The job took 3 hours to install with a new electrical test certificate issued.

We supplied and fitted this 760 x 900 offset quadrant with roller doors also new tiles with bright tile trim and matching silver plinth cover. New quality tray with heavy duty plinth. The job was completed over 3 days which also included a new Mira Sprint electric shower.

We removed this standard bath tap shower and fitted a new Bristan Artisan thermostatic bath filler tap shower plus our over head rain kit and separate hand shower.

Our Bristan Artisan bath tap showers are made in the uk and come with a 5 year manufacturer warranty - Not cheap £50 ebay efforts that are made in China

We supplied and fitted additional tiles above the original 2 rows with our premium border tile and textured matt white wall tiles to compliment the first two rows.

When the going gets tough !

Was the immediate response when I first set eyes on this - People quite often tile up to the sides of a shower, but the stud wall was built up to the sides of the shower too !!
 
 

So I pick myself up from the floor after a laughing fit… I go on to solder in a new piece of pipe and fit a new compression elbow to bring the connection on the surface. I then go on to fit a new repair panel to cover over this mess and fit the new shower on top.

Cost of the 5mm thick repair panel £99 supplied & fitted.

The customers were absolutely delighted with the outcome - They were expecting to break out the tiles and reinstate with new. Only we offer this repair panel option !

Bath tap showers will pump out 8 - 10 litres per minute @ 40 Celsius when running from a combi boiler. Electric showers average around 3 litres per minute.

Fitted today in Birmingham this thermostatic bath tap shower. I removed the bath panel and the single taps and replaced with this thermostatic bath filler tap and shower diverter with a quality rail riser handset. The job took 2 hours to complete. Thermostatic bath taps don't blow hot and cold when other taps are opened or when a toilet is flushed.

So I removed an old electric shower and reused the cold water supply for the new bar shower. For the hot supply I made a connection to the hot water pipe under the bath and piped it behind the new opal panel. I drilled through the bath screen panel which luckily enough was wide enough to drill. Our large shower panel is mounted off the wall to allow the water pipes to travel behind the panel and connect to the back of the bar shower. This method avoids breaking tiles and making good after.

The job took around 3 hours to complete and comes with a 5 year warranty.

Single impeller water pump

Fitted today this single impeller water pump boost the hot water to all taps throughout the house. Increases the hot water pressure to kitchen tap, basin taps or bath tap shower taps and mixer showers.

Fitted today in Birmingham - This old shower force mixer valve was plumbed the wrong way round also the pipe centres were 100mm... not standard 150mm distance - A big hole was exposed when removing the cover.

I soldered in new pipe work to achieve the standard 150mm pipe centres - Fitted a 10mm thick support panel to cover the hole - Not the perfect solution but the only solution in this instance as there were no spare matching tiles. Time taken was 3 hours

Total cost including a new Triton Vivace sequential mixer - new pipework - repair panel came in at £699

Typical example of safely extending the wires inside the shower unit.

The wires are crimped using metal ferules and then heat shrink insulation applied. Try getting anyone else prepared or experienced to do this on the same visit !

Happened again... another shower tiled around the sides only. So I fitted a new repair panel then fitted the new shower over.

Replaced a Triton with a new Mira Sport MF 9Kw supplied & fitted today in Birmingham

So the old Triton had burnt out & notice the power supply trailing down from the ceiling.

I replace the shower with a new Sport then trunk the cable and clip to the wall. No extra charge !

So I grab a repair panel from the van and fix to the wall covering over the hole. I re-configured the pipe work and wiring inside the shower to fit. Fitting the panel takes around 30 minutes to cut - shape and fix to the wall. Cost of the 5mm repair panel & fitting £99

Fitted today Kings Heath

This Triton Benito was installed with new hot and cold water supplies in the cupboard behind. I removed and isolated an old electric shower and fitted a panel to cover over the holes and previous fixings.

Asmara thermostatic bath filling tap & shower kit

Supplied & Fitted today in Selly Oak Birmingham - We removed the bath taps and fitted a thermostatically controlled bath filler tap and shower set - a new short glass screen - shower rail and curtain - We fitted customer supplied border tiles above the 2 rows of original tiles and continued tiling up to the ceiling with customer supplied tiles in the showering area only. Our fixed shower set with the over head rain kit is only available from us - get in touch if you would like a similar set up. 

We may be able to tile over existing tiles if clean/ grease free and fixed FIRMLY to the wall and LEVEL. Any wallpaper or loose paint work must be removed before we can tile - 

The job took 3.5 days to complete and cost  £2150  

Sorry due to time constraints we do not tile full bathrooms - Our core business is supplying and fitting showers - We offer supplementary tiling and fixtures only.

Burnt out Triton shower replaced with a new Mira Sprint

Happened again ! 

This shower burned out the terminal because the cable was not tightened to the correct torque - this causes arcing resulting in higher temperatures that ends up melting out the terminal.

So first action is to remove the shower and re solder the water supply pipe into the vertical position, Strip back the damaged electrical cable to the undamaged segment. Note the holes in the wall where the wire and pipe exited were silicone sealed to avoid water ingress, another example of PROFESSIONAL FIT.
The replacement took around 2 hours - Get in touch to get on of these Mira Sprints supplied and fitted.

Supplied and fitted in Smethwick today - 

This Triton Enrich 10.5kw & 5mm thick repair panel.

The old shower was tiled up to the sides only... leaving a mess to deal with. So I fitted an opal acrylic repair panel. The job took 2 hours to complete and cost £348 for the panel, shower and fitting charge - NOTE the ugly pipe supply was replaced with an high pressure hose to tidy up the appearance, another example of a professional fitting.  Get in touch if you have similar problems with no tiles behind the broken shower waiting to be replaced.

Power shower replaced with a NEW bar shower + rain kit

So our customer had her hot water cylinder replaced with a new combi boiler making the power shower redundant - Large holes was left behind after removing the old power shower so we went on to fit this acrylic panel to cover over and support the rain kit - Total amount charged for new pipe work, bar shower and kit, acrylic panel came in at £1071 fully supplied and fitted with a 5 year Triton warranty.
